Women’s health is all about rhythm and balance, from our first cycle to menopause and everything in between.
Acupuncture helps support that natural ebb and flow, working with your body to bring hormones, energy, and emotions back into harmony
Whether you’re struggling with painful periods, fertility challenges, perimenopausal changes, or simply feeling out of sync, acupuncture offers a calm, restorative way to reconnect with yourself.
During your session, we’ll take time to talk through what’s been going on — your cycle, stress levels, sleep, emotions, even the little things that often get overlooked. I’ll check your pulses and look at your tongue to understand what your body’s telling us, and then use fine, gentle needles to help rebalance your energy and restore flow. Most clients find the experience deeply relaxing — a rare moment of stillness where your body can begin to heal and reset itself.
Acupuncture and Fertility
Over the years of working closely with couples on their fertility journeys, I’ve noticed something that goes far beyond the physical. So often, there’s a lack of joy — a sense that everything becomes about what not to do, rather than what to embrace. Couples can get caught up in the rules, the restrictions, and the pressure, and somewhere along the way, the joy of connection and hope gets lost.
That’s one of the main reasons I created this new space. I wanted Root & Balance to be about more than just treatment — it’s about helping bring back the joy, nourishing the Heart energy, and reminding people that fertility isn’t just about science or structure. It’s also about love, laughter, warmth, and the deep emotional connection that makes life feel full.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Heart and Kidney meridians are deeply connected — a beautiful balance of Fire and Water. The Heart represents warmth, passion, and emotion; the Kidneys hold our deepest reserves of energy and essence, our ability to grow, reproduce, and create life.
When these two are in harmony, communication between them flows smoothly — the Heart’s warmth supports the Kidneys, and the Kidneys’ calm anchors the Heart. But when this connection becomes disrupted (often by stress, exhaustion, or emotional strain), it can impact both our emotional wellbeing and our fertility.
Through acupuncture, lifestyle support, and a good dose of compassion, I work to help the body (and mind) find that natural rhythm again. My ongoing CPD training and work with the Acupuncture Fertility Network keep me up to date with the latest developments in fertility and IVF, allowing me to blend the ancient wisdom of TCM with the evolving science of reproductive health.
Acupuncture supports the Heart–Kidney relationship by regulating hormones, calming the nervous system, and encouraging better blood flow to the reproductive organs — all while creating a deep sense of relaxation and safety in the body.

Acupuncture and Menopause
If you’re moving through menopause, you’ll know it’s a time of big change — physically, emotionally, and energetically. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this phase is known as “The Second Spring” — a time when the body’s energy begins to shift, inviting us to slow down, reflect, and redefine what balance means for us. It sounds lovely in theory, but in reality? Hot flushes, brain fog, restless nights, anxiety… sometimes it feels more like a whirlwind than a spring breeze.
In TCM, menopause isn’t seen as a problem to be fixed — it’s a natural transition, a new season of life. Our Kidney energy — the foundation of vitality, fertility, and ageing — begins to gently decline, and the rest of the body adjusts to find a new rhythm. Some women experience more heat, others more fatigue or mood changes. The key is findingwhere your imbalance lies — whether it’s Yin and Yang needing support, Qi needing to move more freely, or the Heart and Kidney systems needing to reconnect.
Acupuncture helps restore harmony during this shift, easing symptoms like hot flushes, insomnia, mood swings, and anxiety, while supporting deeper sleep and emotional wellbeing.
It also creates a safe space to pause, breathe, and feel truly heard. You’re not going mad — your body’s simply recalibrating. And I get it — I’m walking through my own Second Spring too.
Over the years, I’ve learned that as women, we’re constantly evolving — every seven years or so, our energy and hormones invite us to adapt. What served us before might not serve us now, and that’s okay. It’s a time to explore new foods, new movement, new supplements — and new ways to feel good in our skin.
That’s where sound healing and my facial rituals come in. Sound helps calm the nervous system and soothe the heart, while facials offer a chance to feel nourished, grounded, and radiant again. If ever there was a time to treat yourself, this is it — because self-care isn’t indulgent, it’s essential.
Acupuncture, sound, and skincare together help you reconnect with yourself, bringing back a sense of steadiness, clarity, and joy — so you can move through this next chapter feeling balanced, beautiful, and truly you.
